 My name is Richard Adams, and I manage the Silver Surfer's Academy website and related businesses.
Here is some of my history:
I have worked for 26 years in Software Development and as a Quality and Process Improvement manager, for a major Telecommunications company on the South Coast of the UK.
During this time I was using computers from their early development technology up to the present day, for both software development, and as management tools. In recent years I have been more involved with quality and process improvement, training and helping people throughout organisations on how to comply with required standards and procedures and to do things better, and reporting to senior management on business process performance.
Since August 2005, I have been working on my own IT Training, web hosting and design business. As well as provision of the IT Training Video club through this website, I am also working as a personal IT trainer, going to people's homes in my local area near Coventry to teach them about computers by personalising the syllabus to individual needs. In this role I am an associate Trainer for a company called Digital Unite, who employ Trainers across the UK for this type of work.
